Happy Friday!
After an extended break, I’m back in action with the blog. And although I haven’t been writing, I have been working on recipes, book reviews, and restaurant reviews that you will see here very soon.
Cleveland Gluten-Free
Earlier this month, I made my annual trek to Cleveland for the Content Marketing World Conference (this year I spoke on community and on defining your brand voice). The perfectly browned gluten-free blueberry pancakes you see in this week’s #FODMAPfriday header image (at Yours Truly Restaurant) were just one highlight of the excellent gluten-free eats this year.
Lola Bistro is always on my must-eat-at list for these trips. And their tomato salad (see above) was the perfect expression of local, seasonal, naturally gluten-free food.
I’m going to have to update my Gluten-free Guide to Cleveland soon to share my new favorites!
Fall Low FODMAP Favorites
After spending a week eating out every day—no matter how deliciously—it was great to get home and back into my low-FODMAP eating routine. I can’t wait to dive in and try some of the fantastic seasonal recipes I’ve compiled here in this week’s low FODMAP recipe round-up.
- Looking for an easy one-pot meal with Thai flavors? Check out this basil and coconut ground beef skillet from The Roasted Root.
- Bolognese is one of my favorite pasta sauces. You’ll want to add this recipe from FODMAP Everday to your Fall comfort food dinner line-up.
- Craving buffalo chicken wings but trying to aim for something a little more healthy? Try these Buffalo Chicken Zucchini Boats from The Skinny Fork.
- I can always count on Manu’s Menu for giving me something completely unexpected to crave. Try her chocolate macadamia nut grapes for a beautiful and unique dessert for your next family dinner.
- Hard cider is the unusual secret ingredient in these extra crispy apple cider marinated sweet potato fries from Teaspoon of Spice.
- I love sushi but thanks to a sever crab allergy, I can’t go out for it these days. I can’t wait to try these sushi balls from A Little Bit Yummy!
- Tapioca was a favorite dessert of mine when I was a kid. This low FODMAP tapioca from Very Well Fit is definitely for grown-ups though with its Brûlée finish.
