Today is a really big day for me—it’s my last day in SF before I move to our new house!
Last Friday, our appliances arrived, and I have to say it was when the reality of our move really set in.
I have to admit I am giddy at the prospect of finally having a full-size refrigerator again after years of tiny, terrible fridges in our rental. And to finally be able to do laundry whenever I want (and without having to clean up after less than tidy neighbors who last used the washer and dryer).
In addition to waiting around for the delivery, we spent much of last Friday running a ton of errands to get the house ready for move-in. This included picking up our orders at IKEA and Container Store. I’ve long been a huge fan of the Container
Today is the final frontier of packing: the kitchen cupboards and the bathroom. And no, in case you were wondering, I did not get onboard with the Marie Kondo method. I am bringing exponentially more than 30 books with us to our new place. That’s what the trip to IKEA was primarily about—more bookcases!
With all the packing and prep work over the past week, I didn’t get to do much cooking. But as soon as I get settled in, I’ll definitely be taking a crack at this week’s low FODMAP recipes. Enjoy!
